Come one, come all to the 1st official Games Corps event.
This is a Warhammer 40,000 Doubles tournament (2 vs. 2) with 2500 per side (1250 per player).
Special scenarios will be used - to be released
FOC's will be shared with 1 mandatory HQ and 1 mandatory Troop selection per player.
Models must be painted to a three color standard.
Forgeworld units are allowed with the exception of superheavies and gargantuan creatures.
Lists are to be submitted before Thursday the 5th of May.
Prizes will be Best Generals and Best Alliance Theme*

*Theme prizes will be awarded based on written stories (1 typed page) and modelling

Format: Doubles (2v2) 1250pts per person

Time: Please be here no later than 10:00am. Set up at 10:30. Dice roll no later than 11:00am.
Entrance Fee: €20.00 per person/€40.00 per team
No one will walk away from this event empty-handed. Entry fees will go toward event memorabilia for each player.

The event will be capped at 12 teams. (24players). Please contact me or call the store to sign up only if you and your partner can commit to playing on May 7th. If you need help finding a partner please let me know. Pre-registration is highly encouraged and will help with us making the play area as spacious as possible.

RULES FOR WARHAMMER 40K TOURNAMENT

Rule Books:
The Warhammer 40,000 Fifth Edition Rules will be used.

The following is a list of legal army choices:

Units and army lists from any Imperial Armour texts may be used, updated rules must be used where appropriate.
No Forgeworld rules bearing the “experimental rules” description may be used.

MODELS AND POINTS:

1. Each player must bring an army consisting of 1250 points or fewer, in accordance
with these rules. Each team will consist of two players fighting together.

The Force Organization Chart will be split up into two parts as follows:

(Each player must take)
1 HQ
0-1 Elites
1-3 Troops
0-1 Fast Attack
0-1 Heavy Support

In addition, the two players on a team share three ‘floating’ selections, one each in Elites,
Fast Attack, and Heavy Support. Either player may use up to two of these floating slots,
but may not use the same slot as their partner. For example, Player A takes a second
Elites choice and a second Heavy Support choice. This means their partner, Player B,
may take a second Fast Attack choice as the third floating slot.

Mandatory unit selections are no longer mandatory. For example Tau players are not required to take 1+ Fire Warriors squads.

2. All models must follow “What You See Is What You Get” (WYSIWYG). All
weapons, war gear, and so forth must be represented on the model.

3. Forge World Imperial Armor units (and army lists) may be used.

4. If illegal units or other rules violations are found in a player’s army list, at a minimum,
the models in violation will be removed from all subsequent play. In addition,
tournament points may be deducted and/or award eligibility may be forfeited. If in doubt,
please ask for clarification in advance from the Tournament Organizer.

5. Teams may share technology only where applicable (i.e. Dark Angel Terminators may use Blood Angel Teleport homers but Daemons may not). Teams may not share transports and Independent Characters from one team may not join with units from another. All same-team interactions are at the discretion of the Tournament Organizer. If you are not sure about sharing an ability or wargear please contact the TO before the tournament.

6. If a unit/wargear/ability says something to the effect of "choose a friendly unit/model" you may select a teammates unit.

7. Necrons will never phase out.

HOW THE TOURNAMENT WORKS:

Competitors will participate in three (3) games over the course of the day. In each game, you
will play a scenario and record the outcome of the battle on your results sheet. Each round you
will play a different opponent. Each round will last 2.5 hours.

In the first round, players will be matched up randomly. After the first round, players will be
matched up according to current rankings in the tournament (e.g., the player in first place will
play the player in second place and so on). We will try our best not to pair teams that come to the event together in the first round. If a team receives a BYE they will be awarded the average of the winning teams points for the round.

You will not play the same team twice.

The pairings for each round will be announced as soon as they are determined. Please be sure to
arrive at your table ready to play right away. We ask that each player be conscious of the
time and that you play at a regular and steady pace to complete the game. Anyone found slow
playing or deliberately stalling for any reason will be penalized.

Each game will be played on a 6’ x 4’ board.

Scoring:
Missions will be announced on Wednesday the 28th of April
Theme scores:
Teams are not required to participate in the theme competition.
A team’s “theme” score will be judged after the second round during the lunch break. Teams will be evaluated on the following:
1. Painting and conversions
2. A written story about 1 typed page in length (Greek or English)
3. Anything else your team might come up with to define their alliance

BATTLES:

The Fifth Edition Rulebook will be in use for all games and will be the definitive guide
for all rules. The time limit for each game is 2.5 hours. At the end of this time limit, the round will be called; all players will need to finish their game immediately, and no additional time will be provided.

What You Need to Bring with You:
-Your miniatures
-At least two copies of your army list (legible please)
-Rulebooks and any additional books you need
-Pen and paper
-Dice and templates
-Tape measure
-Something to transport your army from table to table

Prize Support:

Prizes will be given for the Best Generals, the team that accumulates the most points throughout the tournament.

Prizes will be given for the Best Theme, the team that best represents the motives behind their alliance and whose models best exemplify the modeling portion of the hobby.
No one will walk away from this event empty-handed. Entry fees will go toward event memorabilia for each player.

Πρόκειτε για event... Που σημαίνει πως μέσα στην τιμή συμπεριλαμβάνεται και φαγητό...
Έπειτα μέσα στην τιμή υπάρχει και το goody bag που βρίσκεται ακόμα απί διαπραγμάτευση...

Αν σκεφτείς λοιπόν μόνο τα έξοδα του φαγητού σου σκέψου πόσα λεφτά πληρώνεις τελικά για το τουρνουά...

Είναι γραμμένο στα αγγλικά διότι ο John (ιδιοκτήτης) μιλάει μεν άπτεστα ελληνικά αλλά από ορθογραφία........

Τέλος τα prizes θα είναι εξίσου μεγάλα έτσι ώστε να ανέβει σε επίπεδο όλο το event και τα event τα δικά μας να γίνουν εφάμιλα εκείνων των competitive τουρνουά του εξωτερικού...

τοτε μαλλον καλα θα εκανες πρωτα να ενημερωσεις για τα prizes.. Το να λες πως ειναι μεγαλα, προσωπικα δεν μου αρκει.
ερωτηση: Το φαγητο ειναι που το κανει event? δηλαδη χωρις φαγητο ειναι απλο τουρνουα? Δεν πιανω το συλλογισμο σου.

και η 1η για theme πάλι παίρνει δωροεπιταγή...

Απλά σκέψου πόσα θα είναι η δωροεπιταγή όταν ο κάθε ένας δίνει 20 ευρώ... Αν δεν θες τόσο competitive φάση δικαίωμα σου είναι να μην έρθεις...

ετσι πας ρε Λεανδρε να κανεις μια αρχη? Ρωταω λεπτομεριες στο γιατι τοσο υψηλο το fee, και λες πως αυτο ειναι που το κανει ανταγωνιστικο το event σας? Θεωρεις πως με τα παραπανω απαντησες τελικα στο τι θα παρει ο καθενας, μιας και εαν σπασει το 20ευρω σε φαι, συμμετοχη, δωρο για τον καθενα, η ερωτηση ειναι: τελικα για τους 4 νικητες τι απομενει? Θα παρουν πισω εστω και το 40ευρω που εδωσαν ανα ζευγος? Πιστευεις δηλαδη οτι ειναι ντροπη να ρωταω τι πληρωνω με το 20αρικο που μου ζητας να σου δωσω, η οτι γινομαι παραλογος?
Οκ, για τα 3 χρωματα εχεις δικιο. Αλλα για το αλλο ειναι απλα αστειος ο τροπος που απαντας..

Φίλε δεν καταλαβαίνω γιατί το έχεις πάρει έτσι στραβά...
Το 40-50% του κάθε fee πάει στα prizes...

Και ναι θα τα πάρουν πίσω αλλιώς δεν έχει νόημα... Νομίζω πως είναι αυτονόητο και πιστεύω πως δεν έχει λογική ο προβληματισμός σου περί του αν οι νικητές θα πάρουν τα λεφτά τους και παραπάνω...

Δεν είναι τα λεφτά που το κάνουν ανταγωνιστικό αλλά το βραβείο...

Τεσπα και για να τελειώνει το θέμα γιατί δεν έχει νόημα να το συζητάμε.

Από περιέργεια & γιατί μου αρέσει να βλέπω προσπάθειες και ιδέες (για να κλέψω τις καλές), θα ήθελα να μάθω όλες τις οργανωτικές λεπτομέρειες, από το "menu" και τον πάροχο, μέχρι και τη διαθεσιμότητα του χώρου. Τα πάντα και τα κοάλα. Είτε εδώ είτε σε pm

Για το κείμενο, είναι "προβληματικό" να διαβάζεται από Έλληνες στα αγγλικά, γιατί πολλοί με δυσκολία καταλαβαίνουν τους κανόνες του παιχνιδιού, και αυτούς τους μαθαίνουν περισσότερο εμπειρικά παρά από διάβασμα. Λίγοι διάβασαν όλο το κείμενο και σε βάζω στοίχημα
Προτείνω την απλή χρήση του Word, με απλό/αυτόματο ορθογραφικό/γραμματικό έλεγχο για τα επόμενα events.

edit: ωπ! 7 του μήνα είναι; θα ήθελα να έρθω, άλλα "μαγειρεύουμε" κάτι στην δίκια μας γειτονιά για εκείνη την ήμερα

Γιατί ενώ υποτίθεται πως έπρεπε να είχαν στείλει λίστες 5 μέρες νωρίτερα μόνο 2 ομάδες το έκαναν και ξαφνικά Σάββατο πρωί είχαμε ομάδες που δεν είχαν δηλώσει...Και άντε βγάλε άκρη με το catering και τα δώρα όταν δεν ξέρεις πόσοι θα έρθουν...

Οπότε θα γίνει αναβολή. Θα κάνω κάποια στιγμή νέο τόπικ για το πότε θα είναι.Η αλήθεια είναι πως θα αναθεωρηθούν μερικά πράγματα.

π.χ. Επιτρέπονται άβαφοι στρατοί αλλά δεν θα έχουν δικαίωμα στο μοντελιστικό βραβείο του τουρνουά.Ακόμα και αν έχουν το κορυφαίο conversion...
Και θα δούμε για το κόστος συμμετοχής... Η αλήθεια είναι πως το κόστος ήταν σε εκείνο το ύψος για να μπορεί να κατέβει. Διότι δεν θα ήταν ευχάριστο να έχεις υπολογίσει τα λεφτά σου και ξαφνικά να ανεβαίνει η συμμετοχή...

+ Ότι ο απώτερος σκοπός είναι το 75% της κάθε συμμετοχής να πηγαίνει στο βραβείο το οποίο θα είναι στην μορφή δωροεπιταγής...

Εν κατακλείδι θα ενημερώσω το φορουμ, θα μεταφράσω τους κανόνες στα Ελληνικά, και θα γίνουν και κάποια tweaks...

A και μην ξεχάσετε να ρίξετε καμμιά ματιά στα Imperial Armour γιατί παίζουν κανονικά...
