Q:Doom and Darkness

Here is the question though.

If I have a unit of hammerers (ld9) within 12' of a lord (ld10) and the hammerers have Doom and Darkness on them (making them Ld6). Do I:

a) take my test of a 6 (9-3)
b) take my test of a 7 (Gen's ld 10 - 3 for doom and darkness), or
c) take my test of a 10 (My ld = 9-3 for doom and darkness. General is a 10 not modified and since his is higher I use it).

Personally, I think it's c).

Q. If an enemy unit is affected by the Doom and Darkness spell,
and the unit is within the general’s Inspiring Presence radius, does
the Leadership value conferred by Inspiring Presence suffer the
modifier even if the General is not affected? (Reference)
A: Yes.
